Closer to home there are many walks and cycle rides around the quiet Shropshire country lanes. Admiral Rodney’s Pillar and the Shropshire Hills have fabulous views of England and Wales, once you reach the top.

For walkers and nature lovers there is the “Little Switzerland” town of Church Stretton and the hills of the Long Mynd. For a day of sea air and beach walks, the pretty coastal towns of Harlech, Barmouth and Porthmadog are only around two hours’ drive. The ‘Mid Wales Marches’ refers to the border between the Mid Wales region and England. This area is famed for the quality of its local produce, castles, country houses and garden attractions, attractive market towns and excellent walking and cycling routes; not to be missed.
