Oswestry

Oswestry, north of Shropshire and sitting just on the Welsh border, is a charming, historic Shropshire market town. Oswestry is a thriving community with quaint, independent shops and a vibrant market surrounded by castles and plenty of history. Whittington Castle stands tall just on the outskirts of town and is a fantastic day out for the whole family to enjoy. If you’re a keen golfer then Oswestry golf club’s reputation as an excellent course, home to two Ryder Cup Captains, is a must visit during your time in Shropshire too.

Shrewsbury

Another Shropshire market town, Shrewsbury, is a cultural melting pot surrounded by the River Severn. Medieval streets weave through the bustling town centre which is lined with luxury boutiques, charming coffee shops and classic high street stores. Birthplace of Charles Darwin, the town really is steeped in history which you can explore by visiting Shrewsbury Castle and Shrewsbury Abbey. And when you’re all cultured-out, you can take a leisurely bimble with an ice cream along the river.
